Pesta Sukan Championship 2008 For Cadet Category

Archery Association of Singapore & Sembawang Archery Club will jointly organise this year's Pesta Sukan for Cadet Category and cordially invite your Club/School to participate in Pesta Sukan 2008 National Cadet Outdoor Archery Championship.

This tournament will be sanction by AAS and the shooting procedure will follow the Rules
and Regulations of FITA Book 1 & 2.

Archery Association of Singapore & Zhenghua Archery Club will jointly organise this year's Pesta Sukan for Novice, Intermediate and Open Category and cordially invite your Club/School to participate in Pesta Sukan 2008 National Outdoor Archery Championship.

This tournament will be sanction by AAS and the shooting procedure will follow the Rules
and Regulations of FITA Book 1 & 2.

 

NCAP Archery Tech Leve 1 Course (Postpone to 21st Nov 2008)

NCAP Archery Technical Level 1 course is postponed to the 21st to 23th Nov 2008 due to feedbacks received.

Monthly National Trial for National Archers

26 Jul 2008 - 8:00am

National Trials will be conducted for all National Archers and National Youth archers (Recurve and Compound)on every last Saturday and *Sunday  of every month at Zheng Hua Archery Range.

 
     Saturday:Full FITA (8am-5pm)
     Sunday: Olympic Knock-out (8am-11am)
     Team Event (1pm-5pm)

 
The trials may be subjected to changes due to other events
(* the Sunday may fall on the following month)

AAS is the national association for Archery in Singapore. We are associated to the Singapore Sports Council and have 28 local affiliate archery clubs serving most parts of the island.

Our goal is to promote and develop the sports of archery in Singapore as well as to develop a high performance Archery Team to represent our nation in regional and international sporting events and competitions.

Coaches' Meeting 13 July 2008

Dear Coaches/ Club chair-person/ Team Captains,

The Archery Association of Singapore has decided to have a registry of coaches, taking into account that not all of our qualified coaches are registered with Singapore Sports Council.

This will allow us to certify instructors, so that they can help out in a non-profit manner within their own fraternity.

Youth World Championship Selection Trial

AAS would like to invite all youth archers (age 18 and below) who have aspirations of representing Singapore at the coming Youth World Championship, which will be held in Turkey from 6 to 12 October 2008, to a selection trial at Zheng Hua Archery Range on the 12th and 13th of July. There will be two categories in the selection trial, Junior and Cadet, for both Recurve and Compound.

Recent Competition Results

Please find below the attached results of the following recent competitions: NUS Indoor, Inter-School, and Sembawang Open.

Work is being done to tabulate the results into an analyzable format. These will be available by week's end. In the meantime, do make use of the attached documents.

Youth World Championship Selection Trial

Dear Youth Archers, AAS would like to invite all youth archers (age 18 and below) who have aspirations of representing Singapore at the coming Youth World Championship, which will be held in Turkey from 6 to 12 October 2008, to a selection trial at Zheng Hua Archery Range on the 12th and 13th of July. There will be two categories in the selection trial, Junior and Cadet, for both Recurve and Compound. The trial will be held over two days. Day 1 will be the qualification round for long distances. Day 2 will be for the shorter distances. Archer registration begins at 7am on both days. The following are the distance for the various category:

Junior Men 90m, 70m, 50m, 30m
Junior Women 70m, 60m, 50m, 30m
Cadet Men 70m, 60m, 50m, 30m
Cadet Women 60m, 50m, 40m, 30m

There is a minimum qualifying score of 1200 for recurve and 1250 for compound. Coaches are encouraged to register participating youth archers with AAS.
