The Zheng Hua National Archery Range will be closed from 26th December 2008 to 28th December 2008. This is to facilitate preparations for AAS Open 2008.

The 1st Training and Selection Trials for the Singapore Youth Olympic Games (YOG2010) will be held at Zheng Hua National Range.Here, the national coach will choose archers to further train and prepare for the Games.

All archers born on or after 1992 who are using an Olympic-style FITA recurve bow are welcome to work with the coach. Kindly bring your full gear for the selection. The archers need not be able to shoot 90m or 70m by now.

All selected archers will be required to sign an undertaking to be committed to the campaign and to train under any coach that AAS appoints.

Dear Archers, Coaches, Club Managers & Officials,

In view of the impending Youth Olympics Games (YOG) to be held in Singapore in 2010, the Archery Association of Singapore (AAS) cordially invites you and your archers to attend training and squad selections which will be held at the Zhenghua National Range on 29th and 30th of December 2008, 930am to 330pm, rain or shine.

The National Coach will then choose archers to further train and prepare for the games to be held in less than 2 years’ time. All archers must be born on or after 1992.

All archers who are using an Olympic-style FITA recurve bow are welcome to work with the coach. Kindly bring your full gear for the selection. The archers need not be able to shoot 90m or 70m by now.

All selected archers will have to sign an undertaking to be committed to the campaign and to train under any coach that AAS appoints.

Interested archers shall have to attend a briefing on the 20th of December 2008 at Zheng Hua National Range at 1pm. Do note that this is one of the very few selections that AAS will be conducting for the campaign for the YOG. Please email the archers’ full particulars to aas.officer@gmail.com by 19 June 2008.

We hope that all clubs, coaches and archers can work together to make Singapore proud of our archers.
