Sharing Session this Sunday
Dear Coaches, Judges, Archers and friends,
On behalf of my newly elected committee members, I’d like to express our sincere thanks for your support and the trust shown by electing us into office in the recent AGM.
The new AAS committee knows that we have an uphill task ahead of us, nonetheless, all of us chose to take these challenges head on.
In this journey, we will climb every mountain for you. This is the promise we’ve given to you.
We’d also have to thank Dr Wong and his team for the hard work they have had put in for the past one year. Dr. Wong, Thank you very much.
As I had said before, AAS doesn’t belong just to the committee, it belongs to every archer. So let’s place AAS in your heart and together we can make a better tomorrow. This is the time we put aside our differences and work hand in hand together, for a better AAS.
We know we have to set up a very good and efficient governing system. For many years, AAS has been running like a Chinaman business, with decisions made only from the top, the voice from the ground cannot be heard. I think that era has passed. The committee has decided to adopt a management by objective approach (MBO) where decisions are not only made top down, but bottom up as well. We’d like to hear from you. Suggestions and ideas to help improve AAS and bringing us to the next level are most welcome.
So we are inviting all of you Coaches, Judges and archers come to a sharing session this Sunday
29/6/2008 at 2pm at Potong Pasir CC.
Lastly we’d like to say a word of thanks to the hard work which coaches and judges have had put in for the past years. Credits should go to them for bringing up the population of archers in Singapore. Without you all we will not have 4,000 archers today. The numbers of archers are the highest in ASEAN, even China and Korea is almost the same as us,
But we must know Singapore is only a little red dot in the world map, despite this, we must feel proud
of our achievements.
So Coaches and Judges and Archers, please come to this sharing session, your kind attendance will be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Tang Chang Poh
President
